Two of our early events, in 2008, held to attract families, and particularly children, to the garden

The Friends started a tradition of an annual Cheese and Wine Evening (later to encompass other foods!) to thank our members for their support. the one in 2008 was held in rather inclement weather.

On 19 July 2008, we held our first Picnic in the Park

In October 2008, we teamed up with the Gardener/Manager to hold an Apple day. As well as the apples for sale, the local WIs baked apple-themed cakes, etc, and donated the takings to the Friends. We also had Thelwall Morris Men performing in the garden.

On 30 November 2008, we held our First Christmas Fayre, with a brass band playing Christmas carols, and Father Christmas, arriving with his elves.
